For the Love of Monkeys

This debut mini-documentary follows project.wild founder, Connie, as she explores the relationship between tourists and macaque monkeys in central Vietnam.

Mission: The driving force behind this piece is to tackle one of the biggest issues in monkey-based tourism: feeding monkeys. Why do we do it? What are the unintended consequences? And how do we engage people in convservation around it?

Significance: As one of the most misunderstood groups of primates, macaque monkeys rarely get the attention they deserve. This project is changing the narrative about macaques, our relationship with them, and how we as humans connect to other species.

Team: This project was contributed to by Next Continent, an ecotourism team leading the way in wildlife watching ethics in Vietnam.
